On April 23, 2045, at approximately 06:15 hours, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office responded to the Hartwell Estate, 42 Ridgecrest Drive, following a wellness check request from a staff member unable to reach the property.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered multiple deceased individuals on the property. The Metro City Police Department Major Crimes Unit has assumed jurisdiction due to the profile of the victims and potential connection to ongoing federal investigations.

Preliminary Findings
Five victims discovered in the estate courtyard show evidence of death by immolation. Four victims discovered inside the residence show signs of blunt force trauma.
The estate's security systems experienced a complete failure during the night of April 22. Duration and cause of the failure remain under investigation.
Eight members of the private security team were found unconscious on the property and have been transported to Metro General Hospital. All are in stable condition and cooperating with investigators.
Additional Individuals Located
Fourteen individuals were located in the estate's guest house. They are currently in federal protective custody and being treated as potential victims of a separate ongoing investigation. We cannot comment further on their status at this time.
Federal Coordination
The Metro City Police Department is coordinating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice regarding aspects of this investigation. A joint press conference will be scheduled within 48 hours.
